Dictionary definition of a misconception

-A mistaken thought, idea, or notion; a misunderstanding
-a false or mistaken view, opinion, or attitude

Misconceptions are a powerful tool in media production, it terms of film production can be used to construct a fake reality that can later be changed this effects the viewer by alternating their mood or understanding. Misconceptions in films usually result in a twist to the plot, this is a good way to add depth to a story and also provides a way to mix two very different genres together. I intend to use this method in my production.
