"Trespass"
Most posters for drama films follow certain conventions, close up, captured emotion and a depth of field that keeps only the focus of the poster sharp.
I believe that that this poster is very effective in relation to the genre of drama. The poster features a close up of the 2 main characters capturing their emotions. having the woman hold onto the man acts as symbolism for danger this is aided by the mud and faint blood stains on the mans face. Both actors eyes in the poster are directed at the observer yet slightly of, this makes us feel as though there is something behind us that they are scared of.
